Verified facts

The table below uses current manufacturer pages, official shops and regulatory documents. A manufacturer claim describes what that company says. It is not independent proof of medical effectiveness.

Subject Vegatest ResoField
Product type Vegatest is an electroacupuncture test method derived from the Voll method (EAV). The German physician Helmut Schimmel helped create the first Vegatest device. Today Wegamed GmbH in Essen sells Test Expert Plus, which it calls a revised version of the VEGATEST method. Browser application for reference libraries, client profiles, custom lists, protocols and planning.
Price Wegamed publishes no price for Test Expert Plus and offers a demo appointment instead. On 11 October 2026, used Vegatest devices and test sets on Kleinanzeigen were listed at 299 to 1,400 euros, all open to offers. Free at the time of this review.
Output and workflow The client holds an electrode while the practitioner touches a probe to a single skin point and reads the electrical skin resistance. Test substances in ampoules are placed in the circuit to see whether the reading changes. Vegatest is a testing method; it does not broadcast remedies. No audio, electrical current, PEMF or other physical device signal.
Capacity and customisation What can be tested depends on the ampoules and test sets the practitioner owns. Wegamed says Test Expert Plus tests for more than 5,000 pathogens and toxins. Custom lists and protocols are available. The new app allows up to 20 active plans per account and up to 6 scheduled rounds at the same time.
Banerji protocols No built in Banerji library was found in the public product information reviewed. Custom protocols are available. The built in Banerji reference library covers 433 conditions and 1,839 protocol lines.
Evidence and limits A double blind study in the BMJ (Lewith et al., 2001) found that Vegatest results did not match skin prick tests and could not tell people with allergies from people without. Wegamed states that its devices are CE marked as class IIa medical devices and that scientific recognition is still pending. ResoField is not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat disease.
